A PR specialist, Mariam Iddi Ndabagenga has an intense passion for the MICE sector (Meetings, Exhibitions, Conferences, Incentives). She has been in the PR and event management sphere since 2010. Her experiences started with organizing the Miss Tanzania prize-giving ceremony and the CEO Golf Tournament in 2010 under Brand Image Company. Then, she joined the National Housing Corporation, giving her 6 years of product launches, national and international trade shows, exhibitions, and media activations.

Mariam or Missie Popular as she is widely known, became the first government Event Coordinator with her role fully committed to MICE in Tanzania. This marked the busiest and most knowledgeable 7 years of her career, opening doors to both regional and international professional platforms. This opportunity was provided by the UONGOZI Institute, a government leadership institute under the President’s Office in Tanzania. She led the team that planned and coordinated over 100 national and regional events during this tenure.

Mariam has continued to open doors for the development of the MICE sector in Tanzania through her participation in panel discussions on regional and international platforms like Meetings Africa, IMEX America, and IBTM World. She is also a member of the Meetings Professional International (MPI).

Through the experiences above, Mariam started Popular Links Limited to be a solution to connecting services within the events sector. She believes that a well coordinated event PR can elevate any brand, product, or service.
